The Winner is…North Korea
It’s funny how the day after North Korea launches a rocket over Japan with Iran in attendance for the launch. The U.S. announces dramatic spending cuts in the military. The way to show strength is not to cower in the face of aggression. Yes, sometimes it’s better to turn the other cheek and sometime it’s better to walk away. But sometimes it’s best to standup to the bully. I guess the U.S. doesn’t even like to pretend to be strong anymore.
UPDATE: I didn’t look at the details of the claim “cut in military spending”. We may not be cutting military spending all that dramatically. It is the issue of the timing of the announcement for diplomatic reasons and appearance reasons. This was bad timing. As to the military spending I’m going to have to look into that more.
