Musical Tastes
Been hard at work today not a minute for blogging. I did try out a new free service online that was really cool. It’s a free internet radio called Pandora Radio.
As a financial officer I needed some mellow tunes at work. Normally I go classical at work and heavy metal in my car but I put in the name of a mellow artist I find good, Damien Rice, and Pandora surprisingly spit out some EXCELLENT tunes. Now I’m a big Napster fan, especially Napster to Go, but their radio stations stink bad; anyways I digress.
What tunes did I like you ask? I’ll list them because it had a neat little bookmark feature for me to keep track of artists and songs I dug. I’ll just list artists for simplicity purposes so granted much of my perspective on these artisists is from one or two songs.
- Matt Kearney
- Laura Tsaggaris
- The Format
- Amos Lee
- Without Gravity
- Josh Kelley
- Joshua Radin
Some chill tunes indeed! Just melodic singer songwriter style stuff, decent acoustic work, melodic rythmic syncopations, good vocals, good stuff indeed.
It also picked some bands/artists I know of and have enjoyed for years and years such as,
- Ryan Adams
- Counting Crows
- The Fray
- Snow Patrol
- Ben Harper
- Jack Johnson
- Radiohead
These were great matches for the most part to a melodic busy day. They kept me in a good rhythm and a chill happy mood.
I’ll let you know if I get spammed for signing up to their “free” service.
