Again, let me say the truth there is no health care debate.  It’s all fictional.  Like the spoon in the movie the Matrix.  It is a straw man meant to grab our attention while the true fight lays behind the scenes.

The health care debate is two sides fighting over maintaining their entrenched status quo’s.  It is a power struggle that has nothing to do about costs, health care, insurance, taxes or anything remotely resembling what the American people actually would and should care about.

Democrats are arguing to expand the Medicare/caid status quo and further entrench this with other public pay or “co-op” options.  It’s nothing new it’s been around it is wasteful money sucking, completely insolvent and nearly bankrupt power harness on the American people.

Republican’s are arguing to “contain” costs with various deregulation schemes/tort reform/etc.  Which is really again just more of the same a mix of somewhat less regulated insurance companies and lower malpratice claims meaning more money for insurance companies and less for lawyers.  (i.e. the government still picks and chooses the winners and lossers)

Neither of these choices are change the GOP or the Dems are both selling snake oil and laughing all the way to the bank.  These are just power grabbing rockstar babies fighting over the territory of the average American taxpayer.

I KNOW a thing or two about TRUE leaders.  My father and grandfather are and were both TRUE leaders, I’ve study leaders, my second business mentor wrote books on leadership, and HISTORY is full of true leaders.   A true leader is one that is willing to give away their power. Look at Washington, Ghandi, Christ, King, etc. when offered power, money, fame, and thrones they gave it up. True change would be doing away with power Washington turned down the thrown to America.   The opposite of our modern day politicians who on both sides are SEEKING power.

Deregulating an industry 50% controlled by government is meaningless. Tort reform is something that can ebb a flow with swaying legislation and is meaningless.  These are temporary band-aids for an entrenched system of opperations.  It’s like a band-aid for a man with cancer.  While the Democrats are are calling for blood-letting by bleeding the already dying system.  Both sides are fighting for their own political and corrupted power.

So, what is the answer.  If the system is broken or dying what would a true leader do?  True reform will be ending the idiocy of Medicare/Medicaid/Social Security to name a few.  Cancel these systems tell the American people to solve their own problems government is not the savior of mankind.  It is time for the children of the elderaly to step up and care for their parents.  It’s time for the baby-boomers to wake-up and realize there isn’t going to be a free lunch.  And it’s time for American’s to demonstrate responsibility, earning ones way, and hardwork to younger generations.  I am not alone in my call for true reform and am not alone in seeking true leadership – as this article points out.  Although, along with that article I feel that I’m deeply in the minority.     The American people and for that matter the world are wading through a sea of lies, power hungry, egoists seldom seen in the course of human history.

The Treasury announced Thursday a record $104 billion worth of bond auctions for next week, part of its herculean efforts to finance a rescue of the world’s largest economy.

The sales will exceed the previous record of $101 billion set in auctions that took place in the last week of April and consist of two-year, five-year and seven-year securities. That record was matched by another $101 billion week in May.

Though next week’s total was broadly in line with expectations, worries about supply have weighed on the U.S. government bond market, which will see a mammoth $2 trillion worth of new debt issued this year.

“Maybe the Treasury market reacted a little negatively and it will continue to be like this,” said Suvrat Prakash, U.S. interest rate strategist with BNP Paribas in New York. “Supply announcements and auctions on the horizon will make the market a bit nervous about upcoming debt.”

Bond prices were lower already in anticipation of the Treasury’s announcement and continued to sell off in reaction.

It’s the “Who Want’s to Own America Deal” round number three tomorrow.  So far China seems heavy in the bidding with Russia dropping out shortly before half-time while lagging behind in 6th place.  However, don’t discount the rich Oil Shieks across the Middle East participating as well they may be in a distant third but they’ve been stockpiling the oil money for years now.   We’ve still got a way to go before we learn who our children and grandchildren will be slaves too.  Thanks to the wonder’s of media we can learn who the politicians in Washington Democrat and Republican alike have sold us into slavery too in real time!!!

Republican’s on the right.

Republicans are fond of implying that President Obama is a big-spending socialist. But the House GOP recently offered a spending cut plan that was able to find savings worth less than one percent of Obama’s budget.

Those stupid Republican’s just can’t get it together!  At least the Democrats stand for something, it might be suicide but at least it’s something. 

Come on! It’s not like their aren’t some BIG pork barrel spending things going on right now that could be cut!  Medicare and Social Security to name a few are gigantic wastes!  But it would take somebody with courage  to tackle this (Obama’s taking it on although completely a$$ backwards)!  So what about elimination of some useless government agencies such as the The Office of National Drug Control Policy, The Department of Agriculture, The Department of Education, The Department of Health and Human Services, The Department of Housing and Urban Development, or The Department of Labor.  There is a list of some of the most wasteful and useless entities to man in all of human history! But nope Republican’s can only find 1% spending cuts.  If they are to cowardly to do this why don’t they cut some quasi-government agencies which opperate wrecklessly independent like the FTC, FCC, FRS, the African Development Foundation, or the EPA to name a very few! 

Me? When faced with two evils will continue to choose neither.  I’d better get to work though as our government is flushing us all down the preverbial “s#!%er”.

I agree with the Mr. VanNuys 110%.  The plan seems reasonable but in light of our current spending Obama is trying to have it all.  The reason I agree 110% is Obama is wrecking us financially faster then anybody else would have. 

However, I’d like to point out that things wouldn’t have been much different under Republican leadership.  In fact, Republican leadership as pointed out in the Washington Times would do even more in Afghanistan. 

As far as the spending goes Obama is just the Republican party on steroids.  In the Omnibus bill Republican’s had 40% of the earmarks, McCain infamously took time off his presidential campaign to go to Washington and support the Pelosi, Paulson, Bush Wall Street bailout.   Further, for all of McCain’s talk of limiting earmarks this is just politics as well.  Read any of the great minds of today and they will tell you to focus on the top 10 to 20% of the problems that create 80% of the results.  McCain and other conservatives focus on limiting earmarks is just politics.  Earmarks only account for a small percentage of spending compared with the overall spending.  True leadership along the lines of what Stephen Covey, Jim Collins, Peter Drucker, or Jack Welch would call for would be true meaninful reform. 

This is the problem.  While I agree with those at American Missive I’d take it a step further.  What is the alternative a slow decline or a fast decline?  A slow decline surely gives us time to change.  But we aren’t changing for the better I don’t see any swinging of knowledge or understanding of the principles that would make this country stronger.  A fast decline would hurt but maybe it would shake us up sooner rather then later.  With four young kids for their sake I’d rather be stuck with the burden of the hard life so I could leave them with a better world.  One could almost be justified in supporting Obama on this ground.  Although personally faced with two evils like the Republican party and Democratic party I will choose neither.  The ends do not justify the means.
